What is unique about New York State?
It is New York City!
The commercial capital of America and the world. You can find pockets of every country in the world here. Every other day in spite of all the traffic there is some countries' parade/festival here. You can find the finest restaurants from not just from every country but also every region of most countries. The best brains from around the world are also here.
Personally I think New York City is on top in most ways, is because of easy accessibility by air, sea and road. There are three major and several minor airports. There are several huge piers for ships and there are several bridges and tunnels and a ringed highway for the heart of the city, Manhattan. Business trips in and out of the city are easy. Exports and imports are equally fast.
There are lessons here for other countries. They can follow our city's example.
